John W. Thompson, Jr., P.E., President

Mr. Thompson has over 30 years of in-depth experience in all areas of construction and real estate development.  His strong leadership and project management skills enable Construction Insight to provide the highest quality results to their clients.  Mr. Thompson is a valuable leader on expert witness cases involving mechanical engineering issues, safety liability, schedule delay, changed conditions, errors and omissions, damage quantification and productivity impact. In our construction services area of operations, he participates in commercial project management and existing facilities inspections. Mr. Thompson is a graduate of Brown University.

Eric D. Rigsbee, P.E., Vice President

Mr. Rigsbee is an expert in structural restoration, waterproofing and concrete repair.  He has evaluated, designed, and managed numerous projects throughout the Washington, D.C. area, and has extensive experience, particularly in the repair of one- and two-way flat slabs, ribbed and waffled slabs, and precast, post-tension and composite decks.  In addition to his expertise in these areas, Mr. Rigsbee has also been extensively involved in structural analysis, parking lot redesigns and repairs, and terrace and facade rehabilitation projects.  Mr. Rigsbee is a graduate of the University of Virginia and holds a professional engineering licenses in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, and he has served on the Board of the Baltimore-Washington Chapter, International Concrete Repair Institute.

Robert DiMaggio, Finance & Marketing Director

Rob joined Construction Insight in early 2015. He oversees all aspects of our Accounting Department for the Connecticut and DC offices. Rob has over 26 years of diverse business experience. His primary strengths are in Accounting – general/cost financial analysis, financial auditing, risk management, departmental and operational budgeting. Rob has excellent leadership skills and is a problem solver with a commitment to customer service and operational improvements. Mr. DiMaggio holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Northeastern University, Boston, MA. Rob also pursued his Masters in Accounting at Bentley University in Waltham, MA.

George Gilbert Estridge, P.E., Senior Project Engineer

Gil joined Construction Insight in 2014. He has over 20 years of experience in quality assurance and project management for multiple aspects of government, commercial and residential projects, specifically with regard to new construction projects. He has extensive experience serving as an Owners Representative with the specific responsibility of ensuring the value and integrity of a delivered product consistent with design documents. His technical abilities include analysis, design, specification and forensic investigation. Gil is a graduate of the University of Maryland and Fairmont University and holds a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Engineering Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Barry R. Graves, P.E., Senior Associate

Mr. Graves has over 30 years of construction administration, project management, and engineering experience. His in-depth construction knowledge on commercial, industrial, retail, water/wastewater treatment and multi-family projects enhance Construction Insight, Inc.’s facilities inspection and construction services area. Mr. Graves is a graduate of the University of Connecticut.

Scott B. Harrison, P.E., Senior Associate

Scott joined Construction Insight, Inc. in 2015. He is an accomplished structural engineer with over 30 years of professional experience in the investigation, design, construction, and project management of building restoration projects. He brings a broad career with extensive experience in the restoration of parking garages, plaza waterproofing systems, facades and roofs. He takes pride in providing outside of the box and value engineered solutions for complex and disruptive restoration projects. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering from Virginia Tech. He is a licensed professional engineer in Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, and Delaware. In addition, he is active in several professional organizations including the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) where he currently serves on the National Board of Directors, chairing the Publications Committee among other responsibilities, and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Angela McAdoo, AutoCAD Technician

Angela joined Construction Insight in 2012, bringing over 15 years of drafting and AutoCAD experience to the company. She is responsible for working with the engineers to create plans, elevations, and design details for an array of restoration, repair, and waterproofing projects. Angela is a graduate of the Drafting and Design Technology program at ITT Technical Institute

Joshua Morelli, Engineering Assistant

Joshua is an Engineering Assistant proficient in the Energy Star Portfolio Manager, GRESB waste tracking, and Energy Improvement Report software. He also provides training services to clients’ property management staff for Energy Star benchmarking and GRESB waste tracking. Joshua is currently enrolled in the BSME program at the University of Hartford in Connecticut.

Matthew J. Nachman, P. E., Senior Associate

Matt joined Construction Insight in 2013. He is an expert in repair and restoration of building envelopes and structures. He has evaluated, designed and provided quality assurance services during construction on numerous projects throughout the Washington, D.C. area, across the United States, and internationally.   Matt has extensive experience in the repair and restoration of building facades, parking garages and balconies; waterproofing of plazas, terraces and foundation walls; roofing replacement; structural analysis and strengthening of existing structures; and window and door replacement. He is a graduate of Clarkson University and North Carolina State University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of Maryland.

William B. Robinson, E.I.T., Project Engineer

William joined Construction Insight's DC office as a Project Engineer in 2012. He specializes in repair and restoration of existing structures from preliminary investigation and evaluation through design and construction oversight. He has experience in construction management, building envelope evaluation, and methods for waterproofing and preventative maintenance. He provides quality assurance services for building envelope repair, roofing replacement, concrete repair, and window and door replacement projects throughout the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Catholic University of America. He is a current member of the American Society of Civil Engineers


Eliza K. Andrews, Office Manager

Eliza joined Construction Insight in 2012. She oversees administrative services for the DC office. As such, she prepares and distributes proposals and contracts, and reviews all project specifications and reports generated by senior staff and the project engineers. In addition, she is responsible for reviewing and processing vendor proposals and invoices, and the day-to-day management of the office. She holds a B.A. from Kenyon College

Lia Morgan, Executive Assistant & Data Integration Specialist

Lia, our newest addition, joined the Connecticut office for Construction Insight in 2017. She oversees all administrative services for the Connecticut office. As such, she prepares and distributes proposals and contracts, and reviews all project reports generated by senior staff and the president. In addition, she is responsible for the day-to-day management of the office. Lia is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, among many other skills.
